Mares has equipped the 28XR first stage with the utmost in modern regulator technology. It utilizes the innovative balanced diaphragm concept, driven by a double piston, all of which is environmentally sealed using AST - Auto Sealing Technology. This feature also ensures a flawless seal against potential sand or particle ingress, particularly crucial in cave diving or polluted waters. It provides divers the option to remove it underwater without flooding. The rotating turret, with a vertical low-pressure outlet and four additional low-pressure outlets, makes it adaptable for all setups. Its flexibility accommodates its use on a double tank, in stage configurations, and sidemount setups.
